 Thhe Explorer II was introduced by Rolex in 1971 and the watch was originally intended to be a tool watch for speleologists.The fixed 24-hr bezel and bright arrow hand were designed to keep track of day and night while caving but it was discontinued in 1985 due to low sales.

 

The current Rolex Explorer II (ref 216570) has been in production since 2011, although since its birth in 1971 there have been a total of 5 Explorer II models and this is the Steeldive Tribute to this fantastic watch and the Specs are as follows -
